Developing Psychic Ability

Methods of channeling vary. Though you are reading this book in search of knowledge to help you in channeling, it might only provide a portion of methods one may use to channel. Learn from reading, but consider your own methods as well.

Channeling sometimes happens involuntarily. When you are driving and pass the street you want because you are daydreaming, that in a sense is channeling. Listening to birds sing and losing yourself in the melody is channeling. These events are escapes from hum-drum life but can also, if used properly, become a source of enlightenment.

People expect channeling to be direct and possibly even painful. If that is what you expect, then more than likely you will receive painful information until you become educated and realize there is an easier way.

Although I have been a medium all my life, when I came out of the psychic closet I thought I needed more concrete evidence that I was channeling than what I had received all my life. When someone asked me a psychic question, I knew I was getting the correct answer when I felt a very sharp pain in my stomach. But it was fear of being wrong that caused that pain. I continued in this manner until the "other side" called a halt to this hurtful method. They told me that if I would listen, I could hear the answers. Psychic ability does not always come in the form of a clanging bell, but a whisper.

There are times when you may hear a voice scream at you out of nowhere, but this is generally only used for warnings when the spirits want to get your attention quickly.

Most of the time communication comes in softer forms. It may be accomplished with a soft voice murmuring in your head or ears. You also might see pictures in the third-eye area, or you might experience dreams, feelings, scents or tastes.

Prayer is one of the simplest forms of channeling. Some have even prayed and heard God answer them audibly.

Belief in channeling is sometimes hard on us. We have to use all our senses in order to give credence to something that appears to have no way of being proven.
