is creating where he is king. This personality is truly nearsighted until he begins to wake up and realize that we are all connected to the Supreme Being. What affects one affects all. Waking up can happen at any time a spirit decides. All it has to do is make the decision to look beyond its own personality and become aware of the higher meanings of life.
All spirits have their own personalities, even though they are part of the whole. Uncle Joe or Aunt Ruth will return as spirit keeping the same personality they had while alive physically. For this reason, there will be times that you channel an entity for which you don't particularly care. It is the same as with physical life and meeting people every day. If this spirit is someone you don't like, you can be sure he probably feels the same about you. With this in mind, he won't enjoy spending time with you anymore than you will with him.
People tend to look at spirits as if they are far removed from us when in actuality, we on Earth are only spirits in physical clothing. A good medium needs to take that into consideration when conversing with other worldly entities. Do not try to endow these spirits with the greater attributes humans sometimes think they should have. Though they are without physical bodies, they still carry the personalities they had while physically alive. This will make the medium's job much easier. The only exception is those spirits who have never had an Earthly incarnation.
Techniques for Channeling
Everyone who channels has a different method. There is no right or wrong way. As has been stated throughout this book, you are the only one who knows what is right and wrong for you.
There are many different levels and procedures you can start with. Some may be easier for you than others, but all have their merits. These procedures are a basis for learning. The best way to learn to use these tools is to take them, change them to suit yourself, and make them your own.
