Chapter Thirteen
Is Possession Real?
From what I have learned, possession is a real thing in the sense that a human has to invite the spirit into his body. There are those who have gone to the Other Side and want to guide or help people here.
Take the example of a little girl who is being sexually and physically abused by her father. While this abuse is happening, she retreats and calls out silently for someone to help her.
On the Other Side, someone hears this and says, "Maybe I can help her. Let me go try."
This person comes and tells her to be strong and that the ordeal will soon be over. In the spirit's opinion, it will be over soon because there is no sense of time on the Other Side.
This is not good enough for the little girl. Innocently she tells the spirit, "You feel good. I am glad you are here. Please stay, but I want someone who can help me get back at my father for hurting me."
Another spirit out there hears. He might have been Attila the Hun in another life, and he knows how to get even. The little girl's expression of anger sent a hot signal to him because he has dealt in anger before.
