eyes. Man needs to see certain symbols as evil so that they can recognize that evil. In essence, man creates the symbol to acknowledge the sinister manifestation he invented. According to her, my star had its head up and therefore was a good star.
When asked about my purple gentleman caller, she replied, "Oh that is a spiritual teacher."
"That's what he said," I told her. Afterwards I didn't call her again for confirmation on other subjects. That would come to me in other ways.
The message for everyone in the lesson taught to me is that our guides are not always what we expect, and symbols were made by man as a forum by which to learn. Our guides use those symbols as part of their language because they know it is key to our understanding. Once they have given a message, guides generally send confirmation through some means, and it may be a very unexpected source. Be prepared for anything.
One such confirmation came the day my little puppy, Muffin, died. In my grief I wanted proof that she was aware I was mourning and missed her. A friend had come over and we had gone to pick up a takeout order. Even though my friend was unable to comfort me I did not let her know it because that is not the Southern way. Instead I sat in the passenger seat allowing her to talk while I was in my own world. Her radio was turned down so low it could not be heard. Thinking only of Muffin, I could hear her words rambling on but was unaware what she was saying. At one point I realized I was hearing the song as stated in an earlier chapter that I so often sang to my baby, "You Are my Sunshine."
"You are my Sunshine" was playing for me as a message and gift from my little girl. Confirmation came from my guide, Muffin, as I had requested. She was indeed around and capable of letting me know it.
Sometimes confirmation of the meditation lesson comes in the form of someone you don't know using the exact words your guide used. This might happen over and over by several sources until you acknowledge the message received.
Each form of confirmation becomes a guide in itself. Our guides don't always have to be human or animate. They
