Chapter Nine
The Education of Ghosts
The education of ghosts or spirits is the entire reason for living a physical life on Earth and for dying in that life. Living and dying portray earthly dramas that allow the spirit great chances for evolution of the soul. Humans are only ghosts in physical form. A ghost is a spirit. The spirit resides in the human body.
Not only do ghosts learn on the physical side of life, but they also learn after they die. Our education continues through each phase of life. All of life's experiences are lessons to be learned. The cycle of life, death, life, death is one continuous education. There is no time one is not learning.
People who are on the lower rungs of development are being educated by what they do in life. Murderers, for instance, are lower entities but could rise to a different plane by simply changing their belief patterns either here on Earth or after death.
Human beings, and even ghosts, have a tendency to change slowly. Life may not be everything we want it to be, but we seem to be content with it or at least, like the battered wife, stay with the abuser because we know what we have. This is only because we feel comfortable when our lives take on familiar patterns. We continue with the same patterns over and
